Principal's Celebration
As we come towards the end of the 2024 school year, I would like to express my gratitude to the Rangeville State School students, staff and families. It has been a busy year and I am thankful for the continued support, partnership and dedication to our shared commitment of nurturing and inspiring our students.
It is with absolute delight that I advise I will be returning for the 2025 school year. I look forward to continuing our journey of learning, achieving and growing every day.
We wish our Year 6 students all the very best as they move into the next exciting stage of their learning journey. We are so proud of the growth, resilience and accomplishments you have achieved during your time at Rangeville.
To our departing families, thank you for your contributions to our school community. We appreciate the trust and support you have shown throughout your time at our school. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you for your child's time at primary school. Thank you for being part of daily school activities and events and your encouragement of our staff and students.
Wishing all of our families a wonderful and safe holiday! We look forward to welcoming you back on the first day of Term One, Tuesday 28 January 2025.
Instrumental Music Concert
On Monday 18 November, we enjoyed an incredible afternoon and evening of music at the Term Four Instrumental Music Concerts. Thank you to families in attendance.
Special thanks to Mrs Johansen, Mr Gray & Mrs Jensen for another thoroughly enjoyable music event.
We are so very proud of the music program at Rangeville and these concerts were yet another celebration of the work happening every week!
Year 6 Tallebudgera Camp
On Monday, we waved off our Year 6 students for their 5-day camp at Tallebudgera. They had a fantastic week of team building exercises at the beach! Mrs Hagley, Mrs Griffiths and I enjoyed attending the camp throughout the week and seeing our students shine in this alternative setting. Thank you to our amazing staff who attended and supported students: Mrs Bothmann, Mrs Briese, Mr Talbot, Miss Tonkin, Mrs Hall, Mr Quilty, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Mohr, Mrs Fraser, Mrs Murphy & Chappy Tiff.
Final 2024 Assembly
Today, we held our final assembly for 2024. Thank you to Mrs Peters and the choir for performing a Christmas Carol. What a wonderful way to finish our last assembly for the year!

ACCESSIBLE COMMUNICATION
The theme for National Disability Action Week centred on the importance of ‘Accessible Communication’. ‘Connect’, Include, Empower’ reminds us of the transformative power of communication and its role in building stronger, more inclusive communities. Accessible communication means ensuring that everyone, whatever their needs, can connect, participate and thrive. It’s about removing barriers to create an environment where everyone can contribute and be heard.

Collection of Student Medication - Important Information
We are getting closer to the end of the school term, and this means we need to ensure there is no medication left at school over the Christmas holidays. This includes prescribed medications, asthma puffers and Epipens.
Parents/Carers are required to collect all student medication from the office by the end of the last day of term, Friday 13th December 2024. You will be asked to complete a new Consent to Administer Medication Form when you handover medications on the first day of term, Tuesday 28th January 2025. You are welcome to fill in the form at the office or find it below.
QParents
QParents is a secure, online portal that has been created by the Department of Education to provide parents of Queensland state school students with 24-hour access to their child's information. The portal allows you to securely access information about your child and communicate directly with your child's school.
QParents provides secure, online access to student information such as:
- attendance details
- consent forms
- payment of invoices
- payment history
- behaviour
- report cards and assessment dates
- upcoming events
- timetables
- student photo
In addition to the information provided, it's important to note that the QParents portal only sends invoices to the parent/carer who is responsible for 100% of the student's school fees. This means that if there are multiple parents or carers who share responsibility for fees, only one of them will receive the invoice through the portal. It's important for parents and carers to communicate and coordinate payment arrangements if they are sharing the responsibility for fees.
We encourage you to register for QParents. To do this, simply express your interest by emailing mllew16@eq.edu.au or by phoning 4617 733 and Mrs Llewellyn will email you an invitation to register (which includes your log-in code) and your childs unique EQID. Your child's EQID can also be found on your child's Semester Report Card.
