New Lunchtime Activities
Rangeville SS are running two new activities during lunchtimes throughout the week during Term 3!
Prep Vision Screening
Good vision is important for a child’s educational, physical and social development. Vision screening checks for common eye conditions that may impact your child’s ability to see and therefore impact their learning and development.
A Registered Nurse will be visiting the school on 15th, 17th & 18th October 2024 to conduct vision screening for children in their prep year.
If you wish to have your prep child participate in this FREE vision screening program, please complete a consent form, this can be done online until Monday 8th May (Midnight) or paper forms can be handed in up until and including screening day morning.
Participation in this free vision screening program is not compulsory. If you do not wish for your child to participate in screening, please complete the consent form and indicate that you wish to decline screening.
Parents do not need to be present for screening, however if you would like to be, please contact the school to arrange this.
If you have concerns about your child’s eyes at any time, please take your child to see an eye health professional (optometrist/ophthalmologist).
For further information, please scan the below QR code to visit the Program website or contact the Primary School Nurse Health Readiness Program on 1800 687 372.
Online consent forms will available from 5th June or you can find a paper copy in the school office.

If you've recently changed your contact details like email address, mobile number, home address, family circumstances, workplace, or emergency contacts, please reach out to us at admin@rangevilless.eq.edu.au or give us a call at 4617 7333. QParents
QParents is a secure, online portal that has been created by the Department of Education to provide parents of Queensland state school students with 24-hour access to their child's information. The portal allows you to securely access information about your child and communicate directly with your child's school.
QParents provides secure, online access to student information such as:
- attendance details
- consent forms
- payment of invoices
- payment history
- behaviour
- report cards and assessment dates
- upcoming events
- timetables
- student photo
In addition to the information provided, it's important to note that the QParents portal only sends invoices to the parent/carer who is responsible for 100% of the student's school fees. This means that if there are multiple parents or carers who share responsibility for fees, only one of them will receive the invoice through the portal. It's important for parents and carers to communicate and coordinate payment arrangements if they are sharing the responsibility for fees.
We encourage you to register for QParents. To do this, simply express your interest by emailing mllew16@eq.edu.au or by phoning 4617 733 and Mrs Llewellyn will email you an invitation to register (which includes your log-in code) and your childs unique EQID. Your child's EQID can also be found on your child's Semester Report Card.

Rangeville State School P&C Association Outside School Hours Care (ROSHC)
Vacation Care: The Winter holiday program was taken by delight from the children that attended. We were all kept warm with amazing foods prepared by Bec and some of the children on the daily. There were many activities to keep children busy from electronic games, loads of crafts, messy play, loose parts, active play, nature events, picnics, movies, bus rides (always a favourite), dance games, interactive games on the big screen and the abundance group games to keep everyone moving. Children also enjoyed the down time of the quieter places like reading areas, bush tucker garden, rainforest area and library. The unpleasant weather days didn’t dampen the educator’s activities and where possible we made the most of the outdoors on the lovely sunny days. Thank you to all the families that joined us, we had a great time. We will be starting to gather information from the children for the upcoming September holidays. If parents have any suggestions, please contact the ROSHC.
Bookings: Before and After School Care booking session can be made by account holders or an authorised nominee. This can be done via email roshc@rangevilless.eq.edu.au or via the Xplor App.
Casual bookings will only be available where the service has approved places available.
Permanent bookings will take a priority over casual vacancies.
Casual booking requests must be made via Xplor. If placement is not available at the time the request is made, the request will be placed on a waiting list.
Cancellations: Parents/guardians must notify the service of cancellations via the Xplor Home app or if having difficulties with the app please email roshc@rangevilless.eq.edu.au.
After the 3rd incident of not reporting a cancellation or absence a $5 fee will be applied to the account. Children are not to ring or email to cancel or make a booking.
If a cancellation is made less than 24hrs prior to the booking, full fee applies. If cancellation is made between 24hrs and 48hrs prior, half-rate fees apply.
Where the notice is less than 30 minutes, parents (or authorised nominees) are required to confirm these changes via phone also.
Lost Property

Any valuable items, such as glasses or watches, will be securely stored in the office for collection.
