Principal's Celebration
As we come to the end of Term One, I would like to acknowledge the work of our staff in ensuring a strong start for all students. It has been a busy term across the school with a variety of sporting and music events on top of our regular curriculum activities.
Thank you to the Rangeville community for ensuring students are at school ready to learn and supporting the work of our school.
It has been my pleasure to be part of the Rangeville school during Term One. I am thrilled to advise that I have accepted an extension as Principal for Term Two. The process that has been undertaken means that in the event Mr Kidd extends his leave beyond the end of Semester Two, there will be consistency in the Principal position.
Congratulations to our students who have successfully engaged in learning both in and outside the classroom. Students who have participated in representative sports and music activities are also acknowledged for their outstanding efforts.
I wish you all a wonderful school holiday and look forward to Term Two.

Music News
St Mary’s College Show Band
On Wednesday 20 March our Year 4-6 classes attended a performance of the St Mary’s College Show Band conducted by Benn Tracy, Director of Music at St Mary’s. It was such a treat to have them perform their New Orleans style jazz for our school and the students really enjoyed their performance. We wish them all the best in their upcoming performance at the Toowoomba Show.
Strings Techniques Workshops
On Friday 22 March, Mark Sullivan from the Open Conservatorium, Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University attended Rangeville to take workshops with all of our string players and the Symphony Orchestra. The workshops were a great success and Mr Sullivan once again commented on the high level of musicianship of our students, their beautiful manners and also their eagerness to learn new things. Many thanks to Jess Johansen for organising this incredible opportunity for our young musicians.
CHSHS Music Immersion Day
Rangeville nominated nearly 50 students for the upcoming CHSHS Music Immersion Day on Thursday 28 March. 39 students have been accepted for this day and we wish them every success on the day of rehearsals and also the evening concert.

If you've recently changed your contact details like email address, mobile number, home address, family circumstances, workplace, or emergency contacts, please reach out to us at admin@rangevilless.eq.edu.au or give us a call at 4617 7333. This way, we can ensure your information is current and keep you in the loop. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
QParents
QParents is a secure, online portal that has been created by the Department of Education to provide parents of Queensland state school students with 24-hour access to their child's information. The portal allows you to securely access information about your child and communicate directly with your child's school.
QParents provides secure, online access to student information such as:
- attendance details
- consent forms
- payment of invoices
- payment history
- behaviour
- report cards and assessment dates
- upcoming events
- timetables
- student photo
In addition to the information provided, it's important to note that the QParents portal only sends invoices to the parent/carer who is responsible for 100% of the student's school fees. This means that if there are multiple parents or carers who share responsibility for fees, only one of them will receive the invoice through the portal. It's important for parents and carers to communicate and coordinate payment arrangements if they are sharing the responsibility for fees.
We encourage you to register for QParents. To do this, simply express your interest by emailing mllew16@eq.edu.au or by phoning 4617 733 and Mrs Llewellyn will email you an invitation to register (which includes your log-in code) and your childs unique EQID. Your child's EQID can also be found on your child's Semester Report Card.

Vacation Care Bookings Now Open
Our vacation care bookings opened last week. We are already fully booked on a number of days so if you need care, please get in quick! If we have days that are full, we will email you to let you know and put you onto our wait list. Please ensure to review the program thoroughly, as it contains information about specific events scheduled on different days, including all corresponding activities for each day. Children coming to vacation care need to bring with them each day - broad brim hat, closed in shoes, water bottle, spare clothes and a bag for all their belongings and any crafts to take home. We supply breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. The menus have been sent out to all families and will be on display in the foyer. However, if your child is wanting their own lunch box of food that is okay, we just ask that you please be NUT AWARE when packing this.
Cancelations for vacation care run differently to before and after school care and require 7 days notice to avoid charges. If you require any further information on this please email roshc@rangevilless.eq.edu.au
Public Holidays
Please take note that our centre will be closed on Friday 29th March and Monday 1st April 2024 for the Public Holidays. We will be reopening for vacation care Tuesday 2nd April 2024.
